Leading-Edge Design Technology
Palmer Engineering has made a strong and enduring commitment to maintaining a computing environment that is not only leading edge, but proven to be capable of delivering the highest productivity for its clients.
Computer-aided drafting and design has been a mainstay since 1986. Palmer's computer resources include the latest microcomputer and workstation-class equipment. Our corporate office file servers maintain data links to our branch offices using Wide Area Networks. This allows Palmer to utilize all available personnel needed on any particular project.
Palmer can provide project files in either AutoCAD or MicroStation, ensuring complete compatibility with its clients' systems. The firm also has several special-application software tools available for use, including Intergraph InRoads, a tool that allows quick evaluation of alternate alignments, and GTSTRUDL, commercial structural analysis software that is capable of analyzing the most complex bridge projects.
Palmer provides general CAD drafting services for several clients. Palmer can also produce computerized renderings and animations directly from its project mapping and design files and transfer them to photographic media or videotape. In addition, aerial orthophotographs can be digitally manipulated to clearly show proposed alignments. Both of these computer-enhanced imaging tools are valuable visual aids for clients to see their design before construction and for public hearings or other presentations.
