In 1929, the Luten Bridge Company built this 5-span closed spandrel concrete arch bridge in Elizabethton, Tennessee. After 75 years of continuous service, the bridge was showing the effects of age and, consequently, was selected by TDOT for rehabilitation. Palmer was selected to provide design and construction plans for the rehabilitation of this historic structure. Numerous aesthetic repairs were also implemented in this project to maintain the look and feel of the original structure. We also provided surveying services as well as traffic control plans for construction phasing.
