| John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge over Ohio River (KY 17)

This historic suspension bridge located in Kenton County, KY, opened in 1867 and had the longest span in the world at that time. It is designated as a National Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Palmer provided professional services that included a fracture critical inspection, in-depth inspection of the floor system, and production of repair plans for the historic structure. Subsequent to the field inspections and reporting, Palmer prepared rehabilitation plans to address deficiencies found including repairs to the steel grid deck, deteriorated and/or fatigue-damaged steel members, and deteriorated and/or damaged connection details.
