Celebrating 25 Years: Stephen Sewell at Palmer Engineering

Palmer Engineering is proud to recognize Stephen Sewell, PE, PTOE for reaching an incredible milestone—25 years of service with Palmer Engineering.

Stephen began his career at Palmer Engineering building a foundation rooted in technical excellence, collaboration, and a deep commitment to serving communities. Over the past two and a half decades, his career has reflected both the growth of the firm and his steady leadership within it.

In 2016, Stephen was named Principal and Vice President, recognizing his expanding role in guiding complex projects and mentoring teams across the company. Throughout his career, he has worked on a wide range of projects across multiple states, partnering with both public and private sector clients. His experience includes leading complex, fast-track Design-Build transportation projects and working closely with local governments on Local Public Agency (LPA) projects, helping deliver impactful infrastructure solutions that improve mobility and safety.

On January 1, 2025, Stephen was named Palmer Engineering’s fourth president, marking a new chapter in the firm’s history. In this role, he continues to guide Palmer from its family-oriented roots as a survey firm to its position today as a well-rounded transportation firm capable of delivering projects of varying scope and scale—all while maintaining the culture and values that have defined Palmer since its founding.

Stephen’s 25-year journey reflects dedication, leadership, and a genuine investment in both people and projects. We are grateful for his vision, steady guidance, and commitment to Palmer Engineering’s future.
