First Phase of Steel Delivered for I-75 Bridge in Whitley County, Kentucky

Stupp Bridge Company has successfully fabricated and delivered the first phase of structural steel for the I-75 bridge over Lynn Camp Creek in Whitley County, Kentucky.

The company, headquartered in Bowling Green, KY, is fabricating more than 1,850 tons of Grade 50W structural steel for this impressive three-span continuous plate girder bridge. The approximately 550-foot-long structure includes a 200-foot main span and features an 8-foot-tall weathering steel superstructure with welded plate girders and cross frames made of light angles welded to gusset plates. The bridge was designed by Palmer Engineering and will serve as an important piece of infrastructure along the I-75 corridor.

The first phase of steel has now been delivered and erected, with the second phase of deliveries scheduled for later this year and final shipments anticipated in 2027.

We’re proud to support this important infrastructure project and appreciate the partnership of everyone involved in bringing it to life.
