Celebrating the Civil Engineering Community at UK

Palmer Engineering was proud to be part of the University of Kentucky Civil Engineering Banquet, held Friday, September 25, 2026. Hosted annually by UK’s Pigman College of Engineering, the event brings together students, faculty, alumni, and industry leaders to celebrate achievements in civil and construction engineering.

Over the years, we’re proud to have had several members of the Palmer team recognized with awards from UK’s Pigman College of Engineering. Four of our past award recipients were on hand Friday evening and recognized during this year’s banquet: Ralph Palmer and David Lindeman, past recipients of the Career Achievement Award, and Stephen Sewell and David Deitz, past recipients of the Young Civil Engineer of the Year Award.

We were also especially happy to see former Palmer employee Mark Meade receive a well-deserved Career Achievement Award at this year’s banquet.

Congratulations to Mark and all of this year’s honorees! It’s always a pleasure to celebrate the people making a positive impact on the engineering profession.
