Palmer Engineering’s Kevin Damron, Josh Coburn, and Clay Smith presented the findings of the Hambley Boulevard study during a recent City of Pikeville Commissioners Meeting. The study evaluated opportunities to improve safety and connectivity along the corridor and identified recommendations that include a shared-use path from Barrett Avenue to Lorraine Street, as well as targeted improvements to help calm traffic and to introduce safer pedestrian crossings.

As we wrap up National Bicycle Safety Month, Palmer Engineering is proud to highlight the many shared-use trails throughout Lexington, KY that our team has helped bring to life. Separation from vehicles is one of the most effective ways to improve bicycle safety, and shared-use trails provide safer spaces for cyclists and pedestrians to move through communities.

This year marked our 22nd Annual Trick-or-Treat Auction, where fun, laughter, and generosity came together for a great cause as we raised nearly $1,500 for Honor Flight Kentucky.
