Palmer Engineering Earns Two 2026 ASHE Bluegrass Project of the Year Awards

Palmer Engineering is honored to receive two 2026 ASHE Bluegrass Transportation Improvement Project of the Year awards, recognizing our commitment to delivering impactful transportation solutions across Kentucky.

Our US 460 Reconstruction Project in Pike County was named Transportation Improvement Project of the Year – Over $10 Million. As lead designer for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 12, Palmer Engineering provided surveying, environmental documentation, roadway and bridge design, and right-of-way services for this transformative 9-mile corridor. The new four-lane highway enhances safety, improves regional connectivity, and expands access to jobs, healthcare, education, and tourism throughout Central Appalachia.

We are also proud to receive Transportation Improvement Project of the Year – $10 Million & Under for the Winchester High Side Project. Working with the City of Winchester and contractor The Allen Company, Inc., Palmer Engineering provided surveying, design, construction administration, and inspection services to transform a historic section of Main Street. The project improved pedestrian accessibility and safety while creating a more welcoming downtown with expanded sidewalks, angled parking, social gathering spaces, and enhanced streetscape features.
